Skilled!

I've learnt to knit AND read at the same time! Combining my two favourite past times together truly makes me happy! Gimme a H-A-P-P-Y!

Flying off the needles (a first!)

Speaking of knitting mojo, boy, is mine going gangbusters!

I started knitting MinO about 9 days ago, and already I'm working on the sleeves. What can I say? I love everything about it. I wait with anticipation to see how it's going to turn out. And at every major knitting point, I lay it out and think "Oh my god, I'm actually doing this, and doing it right, and doing it FAST!".

This pattern is certainly challenging, with 3 pages of instructions (back and front), along with crazy schematics (which is slowly making sense). But I can still remember reading and re-reading the pattern, looking.... looking at the schematics and thinking "I can't do this, why bother?". But you know, it's the actual challenge and the anticipation (did I mention that?) of seeing the finished product. Oh, and the wool is lovely to knit with (so soft!!!) and my Knit Picks stainless steel needles are just making the yarn fly off it!

Okay, I gotta get to bed now. My head is spinning!

(here is a very badly taken photo of it)

The finished product! All blocked and fancy looking (even if I must say so myself).

Knitted with Noro Kureyon, less than a skein. Given to me by my sister ages ago!

My knitting mojo

The need...
To create,
To envisage,
To plan,
To dream.

Right off the needles went Ishbel, and I've started MinO for the boy. I got this pattern kit from sis last year for my birthday. It is to fit a 1 - 2 year old.

I better get cracking then.
